Here are some updates,news items and resources from our research and outreach since our last progress report.

1. KMUN Interview. Roger Rocka talks about the reopening of the Astoria Warming Center in the face of COVID-19, with Executive Director Kathleen Sullivan, Center Manager Cheryl Paul, and board president Rick Bowers on The Human Beat, November 09, 2020.
2. Public Land Trusts. Two protest camps had sprung up while unhoused people moved into vacant properties owned by the huge Philadelphia Housing Authority, Pennsylvania’s largest landlord. Critics say the PHA, a public housing provider, has boosted gentrification by selling some lots to private investors while keeping others vacant for years, despite a ballooning houselessness crisis in the city. The agreement calls on the city to transfer fifty vacant homes out of PHA ownership into….
